At Magic Audio we use the tactile Fairlight MFK controller. Steve Pasek who provided extensive Fairlight support for many years in Los Angeles and London believes the MFK controller is still the most well thought out interface ever designed by Fairlight. For performing detailed audio edits and crossfades it is very intuitive to use.

Quantum QRS room simulator at Magic Audio

We are pleased to add the legendary Quantec Room Simulator also known as the QRS to the studio palette. The world's first room simulator was introduced to the recording world in 1982 by the German company Quantec. Del Palmer the engineer for Kate Bush, used the QRS to add space around her voice on the classic albums Hounds of Love and The Sensual World. Completely restored by Siegfried Welzenbach, one of the original Quantec design team, this style of QRS is one of only fifteen manufactured. Due to it's unique sound and ease of use it is still used today on many classical and contemporary recordings.

Natural History Network coffee morning

James attended the Natural History Network morning coffee event this week which is a monthly networking event in Bristol for people working in the wildlife film industry.
