On location in Kiev, Ukraine on what is probably the best documentary I have ever worked on. It was such an amazing experience to spend two weeks filming neurosurgeon Henry Marsh inside the main hospital in Kiev.
'The Ashes' game for Xbox One & PlayStation 4
Former Australian cricketer Mel Jones was in the Magic Audio studio for two days recording her narration for ' The Ashes ' which will be a game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. The recording session was directed remotely by the director and sound designer from two separate locations in Melbourne, Australia over a 12 hour period and included 1700 separate lines of dialogue.
Coca - Cola sound mix
Marmalade Film and Media in London asked me to do the sound mix for a 4 1/2 minute film Woman and Water - ' Creating Change Together ' which they produced for their client Coca-Cola. As part of Coca-Cola's 5by20 initiative, this film aims to help empower women entrepreneurs across the company's global value chain.
Nat Geo Wild - 2 X 1 hour documentaries
Working with presenter Richard Terry, full narration record to picture was completed while receiving session direction from the director in New York City. Richard, the director and I had full two way communication at all times throughout two eight hour recording sessions. The two Man vs Monster films were broadcast on the Nat Geo Wild channel in the USA.
Fairlight CMI - Sarm West Studios, London
I was asked to supply and operate a vintage Fairlight CMI sampler for producer Trevor Horn during two days filming at Sarm West Studios in London. We recreated the original Frankie Goes to Hollywood ' Relaxed ' recording sessions with the original production team and instruments. Here I am in front of the Fairlight with J.J. Jeczalik from the Art of Noise.

Fairlight CMI for Real World Studios - Box, Wiltshire
Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios recently requested a Fairlight CMI system for the Radiophonic Workshop sessions which took place in the Big Room. The Fairlight was one of the main instruments used at the Radiophonic Workshop back in the early 1980's.

One Young World Summit 2015 - Bangkok, Thailand
Recording and editing Oscar Anderson's " What you need to know about disability " presentation for the One Young World Summit 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand was a very rewarding and unique experience. Oscar was recorded on location in the U.K. and the audio was then edited back at the Magic Audio sound studio in Clifton, Bristol. George P. Johnson are the sole agency of the summit which brings together future young leaders from around the world.

Working with The Edge Picture Company in London, both films are about understanding the cultural heritage of individuals living with dementia. Simply Health - Audio Restoration
Andy Bourne from Olaus Roe recently called us to see what we could do to improve the dialogue for the main speaker in a film they were producing for Simply Health. The presentation was recorded with a distant camera mic, so there was excessive air conditioning noise and reverberant room tone rendering the dialogue unusable. Using the Cedar DNS noise suppression system much of this was eliminated which enabled the presentation to be included in the final film. Cedar Audio in Cambridge specialise in a range of noise suppression solutions. Olaus Roe are a well established production company here in Clifton, Bristol.
